In no particular way, other than just how long it takes to find and reach
the OpenAFS server in the first place, and then whether each packet need
to do their own navigation and finally be ordered to be useful (no CS
background, remember :)

Yes, it seems very local-disk oriented, and doesn't even like accessing
this data concurrently from two sessions.

Anyhow, even changing the browser altogether doesn't solve the original
problem.
