Subject: Announcement of License Changes to IBM Developerworks OpenAFS 1.0

To support the continued development of OpenAFS, IBM approves the
licensing changes to the OpenAFS 1.0 repository described below:

 1. All IBM copyrighted source code in the IBM OpenAFS 1.0 release is
now available under the GPLv2 as an alternative to the IPL.
 2. All Sun Microsystems, Inc. copyrighted source code in the IBM
OpenAFS 1.0 release is now available under the 3-part BSD Oracle
    America, Inc. Sun RPC license.

In addition, all prior and future contributions from IBM employees
submitted to and accepted by the OpenAFS project will be licensed in
accordance with current policies of the OpenAFS maintainers.

This is followed by a list of 80 commit hashes representing IBM
Contributions to the OpenAFS Project that had been submitted to OpenAFS
prior to the end of 2023.

It is now up to the OpenAFS community to obtain permission from non-IBM
contributors since OpenAFS 1.0 so that a dual licensed GPLv2 + IPL10
OpenAFS release with current functionality can be distributed.

Thanks to Brad Topol and Todd DeSantis for making this happen.
