The reason why we introduced an MSI installer is for the convenience of
deploying OpenAFS as a managed package in an Active Directory environment.
While the MSI can be run interactively, it can also be deployed to many
computers without any user intervention. Many configuration options can be
customized to suit a particular organization (see msi-deployment-guide.txt).
In addition, the MSI is designed to detect and properly deal with other
versions of OpenAFS / Transarc AFS installed on a target machine.

The NSIS installer, on the other hand, is a better choice for interactive
installation in an unmanaged environment (or a managed environment where
OpenAFS is not a managed package).
