I arrived this morning and the G5 had all the fans going full blast:=20

The only thing of note was that yesterday I installed matlab 7.0r14 in=20=
AFS, about 1 GB of data. I ran the app several times. Now the=20
interesting part: I have seen Retrospect implicated in many kernel=20
panics, which all happen just as the backup job starts: from the=20
syslog:
