[OpenAFS-port-darwin] folders vanish when opened in Finder [Tiger 10.4.7 + OpenAFS 1.4.2rc2]

I am experiencing another strange behavior.

I get OpenAFS into a state where, in the Finder, any folder I try to
open disappears. This doesn't happen till some time after the AFS
volume is mounted. In the most recent case, I opened my AFS home
directory, opened a contained "Documents" folder and Finder copied
the 171 Meg image file I have reported previous trouble mounting to
the local disk. That took about 10-12 minutes.

After that any folder in my home directory, except "Documents" which
I had opened earlier, that I tried to open vanished. Any folder
inside "Documents" also vanished ... I have the fs_usage log through
all of this.

I'll note also that after that long copy my laptop went to sleep and
when I woke it, the Finder stalled for about 10 minutes when I did
some action with AFS (I don't recall what, but something that needed
an AFS read). I'll further note that this is all from a NAT derived
address at home, in case that causes known troubles ... Gavin
