OK, I've had a chance to try out the revised version of
OpenAFS-1.5.72-Snowleopard+bulkstat+umove (modify timestamp according to
AFS is March 11).

The aklog now works in that I'm able to get a token, but only after more
than a minute of spinning:

The delay starts right after the "About to resolve name" line.  At any
rate I do eventually get a token and can read and write data in AFS.

All of that aside, the cross volume move stuff added by Derrick seems to
work beautifully and reliably.  Very very nice!

I also tried the growlagent, it's a little awkward to run, but it
certainly works and provides a very interesting level of graphical
feedback that we've never had in the OSX client.  Is it more of an
experiment or are the devs thinking of adding the growlagent to the OSX
client package?
