For what it's worth, I installed openafs 1.6.1 on my Mac Pro which is
a 2.8 GHz Quad-Core Intel Xeon running MacOS 10.6.8 (along with all
the latest updates from Apple). I wasn't planning on installing it
today, but we had a 30-minute power-outage and that's longer than the
UPS in my office will last.
The machine had been running 1.6.1-pre2. The install went fine without
any problems, and in my limited testing everything seems to be working
okay. Before 1.6.1-pre2 it had been running 1.6.0-release, and before
that it had been running 1.5.78-release.
Now that you've dropped back to 1.5.78 and it is working, what happens
if you try to install 1.6.1 on top of that?
