[OpenAFS-devel] simpler way to deal with log archival?

For those of you (us) who aren't willing to use syslog to log your AFS 
activity, but still wish reliably have all your AFS log data: would it be 
useful if on server restart the contents of the current log were appended 
to log.old instead of renamed to it? The idea then is scripts which did log 
rotation could then move the old log about, and you'd need only to arrange 
the weekly server restart the bos server can do to be at the time you wish 
the discontinuity in the log.
