I actually got 1.0.4 working on debian's 2.4.5 kernel a while back, and 
submitted a (somewhat messy) patch to the gatekeepers. I recently tried to 
build 1.2.3 against 2.4.16 and the resulting kernel module didn't work. I 
don't know when I'll have time to work on it seriously.
