I was aware of the possibility, but have not tested it. Has anyone
tested the namei based stuff on (some version of) Solaris and possibly
compared the performance of the two alternatives
* inode based without logging
* namei based with logging
?

Of course the mileage may vary with the hardware used, but I am
curious to get some datapoints for some HW/SW combination.
