I've been thinking about the post made recently about invalid SMB packets
crashing the AFS service. Is there any reason for the client to accept SMB
packets from other hosts (except when running as an AFS Light gateway)?
Would it make sense (or even be possible) to have the service bind only to
the loopback or reject all non-local packets?  I've looked at the code some;
but, don't know where to start or what to look for.
