Gotta agree with this.  I write perl with 2 column indenting. No tab 
characters.  Never gets screwed up with more/less.

Please use a format that's supported by _some_ editor's programmable 'c' mode. 
 "People should think; editors should indent."  Get rid of tab characters as a 
method of indentation.  They're evil (as well as being subject to 
mis-interpretation by more/less).
