Hey guys -

Hopefully someone will have a decent idea for an answer for this; How
"stable" is the 1.3 tree considered? I realize it's the development
tree, but I'm tasked with developing a working solution for the Linux
2.6 kernel. I'm curious how far out a release candidate will be.

I've invested quite a bit of time into the 1.2 tree to get it up and
running on Linux 2.6 (in a different manner than the 1.3 tree does it --
I make an attempt to use the Linux internal caches such that the VM can
tell AFS when to dump things, etc), but I'd rather not expend a lot of
effort on a dead-end solution.

If the 1.3 tree is nearing stability, I can certainly offer quite a bit
of time to get Linux 2.6 support up to spec.
