Help!

I'm running a dual processor Opteron system with RHEL4 for x86_64, and
although afs works fairly well, after 10-30 minutes of 'hard' usage, the
system mostly hangs. Any process xterm window having to do with afs
hangs. Other xterm windows not 'associated' with any 'touch' of afs data
space continue to work, although a ps -ef command in an xterm typically
hangs.

Can someone please provide some pointers/help on where to start/how to
start figuring out what's wrong? I'm running a totally 'stock'
installation using the RPMs from:

http://www-personal.engin.umich.edu/~wingc/openafs/dist/1.3.87/RPMS/x86_64/

The only change i've made is to turn:

ENABLE_AFSDB=off
ENABLE_DYNROOT=off

I'm guessing I'm going to want to configure trace, and run that... I'll
start trying that tomorrow morning.

I've not had a lot of luck getting afs to run reliably on this hardware...
 I've tried 'vanilla x86' RHEL4, along with the x86 1.3.87 (and back to
1.3.84) afs, and I get hangs regardless.

Thanks in advance for any help/pointers anyone can provide!
