It started to be worse with context switches much later during the still running
copy process, but responsivity was fine:

The file was in cache so I don't why is the very beginning of the cp(1) so slow:

are higher then in the first pass, when mostly were in 600-800 range, with max values

Well, the machine lives its own life. I'll stop spoiling your mailboxes.
Maybe nothing is wrong with this behaviour. I was just curious if the process
will pick up the file from cache and perform faster but it doesn't seem so
when studying the numbers above. Yes, I know, I copied the file from local
partition and that should differ when copying data primarily housed on
remote machines, sure. But here is seems there is no reason to have a cache
then if I just work on data housed on a local partition.
