I did a little bit of testing and I also see quick hangs with 1.4.7pr=
e2 on fedora's 2.6.24.3-50.fc8 kernel.  But the same kernel works fin=
e with 1.4.7pre1 plus just the d_alloc_anon patch.  So it looks like =
one of the other deltas between pre1 and pre2 might be at fault.  I'l=
l see if I can narrow it down.

Interestingly, 2.6.25-rc6 works fine with both pre1 and pre2.
