Do we really need the headache of maintaining
%Links in make_www_release ?

All it's used for is making the section headings
links to the vendor's OS page.  That is, for
example, the section heading for "IBM AIX" on
the release page is a link to
http://www.rs6000.ibm.com/software/OS/

Seems like a *total* waste of energy to me.
