=3D=3D 1.6.6 prereleases =3D=3D
=3D=3D=3D OS X Mavericks =3D=3D=3D
Derrick reports that the fix for the symlink panic is ready but not yet =
in gerrit, and that Ken H. has an installer.
[update: gerrit change is 10474]
=3D=3D=3D Binaries =3D=3D=3D
Stephan uploaded the available pre1 binaries for several Red Hat flavors =
from Stephen and those for several SuSE flavors from Christof (NB using =
a pre1 EL6 client).
Derrick will provide a Mountain Lion installer.
=3D=3D=3D pre1 problem reports =3D=3D=3D
- SLE 11 SP3 build fix from Christof in 10472: low risk, should go in. =
Mike found a nit though: is "include<xyz.h>" without a blank in there =
valid syntax?
- =
https://lists.openafs.org/pipermail/openafs-info/2013-November/040249.html=
: sounds like we should care, but is for fairly exotic and largely =
unknown configurations. Stephan will try again to get the details =
required to allow doing anything about it.
[update: Stephen reports build problems with early EL5 kernels - =
proposed fix in gerrit 10483]
=3D=3D RT #131773 =3D=3D
"FBSD client hang when writing a file nearly or larger than cache size" =
(against 1.6.5). Ben knows about the problem but hasn't tracked it down. =
Jeffrey will try to get the reporter to test 1.6.6pre.
=3D=3D RT #131771 =3D=3D
Clashing debuginfo for /usr/bin/kpasswd on Red Hat. While kpasswd has =
its own openafs-kpasswd package, the openafs-debuginfo is for all =
subpackages and thus clashes with the krb5 one. There is no reasonable =
fix for this that wouldn't break sites still using kaserver. Should be =
fixed in 1.9 but not in the current stable series. Stephan to push a =
change renaming the packaged binary to kapasswd to master. [update: =
10481]
=3D=3D 1.8/1.9 branches =3D=3D
It is foreseen to branch after thanksgiving day.
