[OpenAFS] AFS Backup Volumes ---BUG--- ????

I have created a volume, for sake of argument lets call it user.cfogarty-
lets actually call it:
user.cfogarty 536870918 RW 96 K On-line
user.cfogarty.backup 536870920 BK 3 K On-line
I mounted this volume as OldFiles
u \w #fs lsmount OldFiles
'OldFiles' is a mount point for volume '#user.cfogarty.backup'
Then
I created an afs cron
\u \w #bos create ripper cloneafswww cron /usr/local/bin/clone_afs_www 02:30
the contents of the cron script are
/usr/afs/bin/vos backupsys www -verbose -localauth > /var/log/wwwbackup.log
2>&1
However, the problem I encounter is rather than backing up I get:
\u \w #ls -al OldFiles
OldFiles/OldFiles: Number of symbolic links encountered during path name
traversal exceeds MAXSYMLINKS
total 8
drwxr-xr-x 2 cfogarty root 2048 Jul 27 15:46 .
drwxr-xr-x 4 cfogarty root 2048 Sep 9 22:59 ..
Thoughts?
