hi all,

I have an odd problem with a machine. afsmodname thinks that the
machine is a Pentium II (i686) instead of a PI (i586)

right now I just replaced afsmodname with a script to print out the
correct module to load.

here is the output of /etc/init.d/afs start

Found libafs-2.4.9-21-i686.o from SymTable... Loading...
Failed to load AFS client, not starting AFS services.

btw, this is a mostly stock redhat 7.2 machine running on a Gateway
model P5-120 (Pentium I 120MHz)

does anyone have insight into this?

do I need to include more info?
