[OpenAFS] can not attach to a read only volume

This happened to me on Solaris 7 with the traditional non-namei fileserver
last year.

Manually deleting the .vol file seemed to work, until the server salvaged
and then it came back. =(

I eventually ended up migrating all of the volumes off and wiping the
partition clean with newfs/mkfs.

There was some evidence later that it was due to filesystem corruption on
that server. All in all, it was not a very pleasant experience.
