[OpenAFS] Salvager runs constantly

30 proc starts tells you you have a problem. Look at /usr/afs/logs/FileLog
and see if it clues you in. that said, i'd guess 255 was "couldn't run the
fileserver" and you will have no FileLog, in which case, try running the
fileserver by hand
