Sounds good.

I'm a developer, but I don't have a development environment in Windows
ready (more of a linux/java/smalltalk/ruby kinda of guy).
Is it possible to compile the Windows version with MinGW or similar, or
does it require VC++ or some other commercial compiler?

Network connectvitity problems can often cause a crash, but as far as I
know that's not the case each day when it happens. I'm not working with
it personally though when it does. But I have indeed seen lots of
crashes when setting it up and testing; especially whenever I muck about
with drive mappings and/or login as different users on the same host
with different AFS configurations (that part seems pretty much broken
all together).
But I don't think there is anything special being done. The users using
AFS in this case aren't "heavy users", so it's mostly the normal
MS Office type of usage.
As for the version, it's 1.2.8 - the binary available at the site. The
OS is Win2K (I posted a follow-up to that effect but from a
non-subscribed address, so it's being held in moderation).
