[OpenAFS] afs backups

Hello,

I am new to AFS and trying to work out a backup strategy.

I need to backup a host that has an AFS server running on it with one cell.

except for that one cell there is more that I want to back up then justthat one
cell.

Can I  have AFS "dump" everything in a file on the same system before I use tar
to make a backup on tape ?
if that can be done, how can I make a "dump" so that everything ends up in a
file (or get's copied in a directory...or "whatever" that I can backup with tar
and if necessary I can restore the AFS cell with.
