[OpenAFS] Hardware Grants from Sun

Must all the Sun provided machines run Solaris?  Or can they be used for 
Linux / Windows / whatever else x86 testing as well?

I personally prefer Solaris for OpenAFS servers, but have also had 
trouble with Solaris on non-Sun x86 hardware.
