Well, do you want to change the name of the cell? The cell name does not
need to match the realm name, though it usually does.

And is this fileserver also a database server?

If it is, and you do want to change cell names, yeah, you need to change
those, update any relevant AFSDB or SRV entries in DNS, and of course
update all clients. And if the afs service principal changes, you'll
need to generate a KeyFile again. If your afs service principal was of
the form afs/<cellname>@REALM, the name will have to change.
