Hi,

i moved all user volumes from my old fileserver serverold to a new
fileserver servernew, leaving on serverold

# vos listvol -server serverold
Total number of volumes on server serverold partition /vicepa: 4
root.afs                          536870912 RW          4 K On-line
root.afs.readonly                 536870913 RO          4 K On-line
root.cell                         536870915 RW        874 K On-line
root.cell.readonly                536870916 RO        874 K On-line

Total volumes onLine 4 ; Total volumes offLine 0 ; Total busy 0

Total number of volumes on server serverold partition /vicepb: 0

Total volumes onLine 0 ; Total volumes offLine 0 ; Total busy 0

tuz:~# vos listvldb -server serverold
VLDB entries for server serverold

root.afs
     RWrite: 536870912     ROnly: 536870913
     number of sites -> 2
        server serverold partition /vicepa RW Site
        server serverold partition /vicepa RO Site

root.cell
     RWrite: 536870915     ROnly: 536870916
     number of sites -> 2
        server serverold partition /vicepa RW Site
        server serverold partition /vicepa RO Site

Total entries: 2

My question: can i move these volumes the same way (vos move ...) to
servernew (database server still on serverold!) or ...?

Any hints would be greatly appreciated!

Thanks, Jörg
