No thanks.  The infrastructure from which these software packages are
distributed is operated on a volunteer basis using donated equipment,
facilities, and network service.  Such an update mechanism would likely
result in a significant increase in load which we are not prepared to
handle.

Unlike major operating systems and web browsers, OpenAFS does not
release security-critical updates every few weeks.
