Hi,
thanks to help from the list I had already managed to compile and run=20
OpenAFS 1.2.10 under Panther, but Edward Moy's patches are of course much=20
more extensive. I'm very grateful for that work. That being said I notice a =
significant difference in behavior between 1.2.10a under Panther and 1.2.9=20
(with Alexei Kosut's patches) under Jaguar.
I don't have set up my system for integrated login for various reasons. So=20
in order to get a token I usually run klog manually in a Terminal window.=20
Under Jaguar that would be enough to have all my GUI apps inherit that=20
token. I don't know if it's a change in 1.2.10a or in the OS, but now that=20
doesn't work anymore. I guess that the processes now have separate PAGs. In =
principle I suppose that's a good thing. I've managed to have GUI apps get=20
a token by running "open" from a shell with token, but that's not really=20
ideal.
So, is that just the way it is now? Do I have to use integrated login for=20
my GUI apps to get a token when I launch them from the Finder?
Thanks, Sebastian Hagedorn
