His contribution was quite minor and right at the beginning.  No, he's dead
set against non-GPL modules full stop - *whatever* they are.

My point is that he can go further than that and try to make sure that you
can't load the OpenAFS module into the Linux kernel at all, and that any
changes I make to make things easier for OpenAFS get reverted or GPL-only'd.
