[OpenAFS-devel] Re: Please check Git version on OpenAFS build slaves

RHEL6 is distributed with git version 1.7.1 .

If one can provide me with a quick explanation of what the missing
options are supposed to do (and how they are useful), I can put in a RFE
with RedHat via our support contract and see what they say.

I'd prefer not to override git versions since that means no support from
RedHat if something w.r.t. it or its support libraries breaks.
